The State of New Hampshire requires that dogs 4 months and older must be registered by April 30th of every year. The owner must provide a valid rabies vaccination certificate from the veterinarian in order to obtain a dog license in addition to any spaying/neutering certificates if applicable. Dog licenses can be obtained by mail by simply sending payment to the address below in addition to the appropriate fee listed, in person during normal business hours, or renewed on-line.

LICENSING FEES

  • Male/Female: $9.00 (Not Spayed or Neutered)
  • Spayed Female/Neutered Male or Puppy: $6.50
  • Owner over 65: $2.00 (only 1 license at this price, all additional are regular price)
  • Replacement Tag: $2.00

Should any dogs remain unlicensed, per RSA 466:7, 466:13, and 466:14, a $1.00 a month late charge will be added to the regular licensing fee. Between June 1st and June 20th, an unlicensed list shall be presented to the Board of Selectmen and upon written instruction from the Board of Selectmen, the Campton Police Department will issue a $25.00 civil forfeiture fee per dog for failure to license, which is in addition to the licensing fee.
