Property Taxes

Tax Year

Throughout the State of New Hampshire, the property tax year runs from April 1st to March 31st of every year. The Town of Campton sends property tax bills on a semi-annual basis. All original tax bills are mailed directly to the homeowner only. It is the responsibility of the homeowner to know that taxes are due twice a year. If a homeowner does not receive a bill, please call the Tax Collector’s Office. The Tax Collector sends the bills to the homeowner and address on record which is based on the assessing data warranted to the Tax Collector from the Board of Selectmen. It is also the homeowner’s responsibility to forward a copy of the original bill they receive to their mortgage company if they have their taxes escrowed. Property tax bills are generally mailed in June, due in July and mailed again generally in November, due in December of every year.
